Returns Policy for Handy CPD

This Returns Policy applies to all purchases made from Handy CPD (“we”, “us”, “our”) through our website (https://handycpd.co.uk) by you, the customer (“you”, “your”). This policy operates in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions, Delivery Policy, and Privacy Policy.

We are committed to ensuring our customers are satisfied with their purchases. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and our obligations regarding returns.


1. Your Right to Cancel Physical Goods (Change of Mind)

For physical goods (like our CPD Portfolios) that are not personalised, you have the legal right to cancel your contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

  • Notification of Cancellation: You must notify us of your decision to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods. To do so, please contact us via the “Contact Us” form on our website, stating your wish to cancel and return your order.
  • Returning Goods: Once you have notified us of your decision to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the goods to us. The goods must be returned to the address we provide following your cancellation request.
  • Condition of Returned Goods: Goods must be returned unused, in their original condition, and suitable for resale. We reserve the right to make a deduction from the refund for any loss in value if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you (i.e., beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods).
  • Return Shipping Costs: You are responsible for the full cost of returning the goods to us if you have changed your mind. We recommend you use a tracked shipping service, as you are responsible for the goods until they are received by us.
  • Refunds for Cancelled Orders: If you cancel your order in accordance with these terms, we will refund you the price you paid for the goods and any standard delivery charge from your original order. If you chose to pay an additional charge for an enhanced delivery service when a standard option was also available, this extra charge is non-refundable.

2. Cancellations and Refunds for Digital Services

By purchasing the Handy CPD AI Assistant, you are buying a digital product that is immediately available to you for download and use.

  • Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have a 14-day cancellation period for digital content.
  • However, by completing your purchase, you expressly consent to us providing you with the digital content immediately and you waive your right to that 14-day cooling-off period.
  • Therefore, all sales of our digital Services are final, and we do not offer refunds once the purchase has been completed.

3. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrectly Described Goods

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by this Returns Policy. These rights include:

  • The right to a full refund if goods are faulty and you notify us within 30 days of receiving them.
  • After 30 days (and up to six months), if the goods are faulty, you are entitled to a repair or replacement. If a reprint is not possible, or if it fails to resolve the issue, you will then be entitled to a full refund.
  • Reporting Faulty Goods: If you believe the goods you have received are faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us immediately (and no later than 30 days from receipt for a full refund for faulty items) via the “Contact Us” form on our website. Please provide your order number, details of the fault, and if possible, photographic evidence.
  • Remedies: For goods confirmed by us to be faulty, damaged, or incorrectly described, we will offer you the choice of:
    • A full refund, including the original delivery costs and any reasonable costs you incurred in returning the item(s) to us; OR
    • A reprint of the product and delivery free of charge.
  • Returning Faulty Goods: If we require the faulty item to be returned, we will cover the reasonable return postage costs.

4. Processing of Refunds

All refunds will be made using the same payment method you used to make the original purchase. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of us receiving the returned item(s) or proof of return (for cancellations), or within 14 days of us agreeing that a refund is due (for faulty items).


5. Exclusions

This policy does not apply to any items that have been personalised to your specific requirements. If items are deemed personalised, the right to cancel for a change of mind does not apply unless the goods are faulty.
